Im Prinzip wird alles mit "will" ausgedrückt:
I will see you. I will pay the bill. Tomorrow will be my father´s birthday (will + Grundform) (Allgemeine Aussage)
Frage: Will you...? Verneinung: I will not... (I won´t)
"I will open the door for you" (spontan)
Auch wenn ich eine Einschätzung abgebe, nutze ich will-Future.

Sprechen wir über geplante Vorgänge nutzen wir going to. (be + going to + Grundform)
I am going to travel to Island next week. She is going to visit her brother next weekend. They are going to spend the night in a motel.
Going to wird benutzt, um begründete Vorhersagen zu machen.
Look! Tom is in front. He is going to win the this race. Manchester are leading 5:0. Tey ar going to win.
Ebenfalls Present Progressive wird benutzt, um Pläne zu verdeutlichen:
